When You Have a Full Freedom of How to Document an Event...
Every event has an emotional hook, a storyline unfolding, filled with split of a second moments that make it unique. I wanted to show Theodora how her event photos can tell that cohesive story with photos that capture it all.
I placed my focus on a few different things to ensure that the photos carry not only the message of Theodora's purpose that she can spread further but also satisfies her sponsors and the venue collaborator, the café Kaferang where the event was held to ensure future successful collaborations.
The Venue
Arriving before the guests to capture the venue, documenting details of the food being served, people interacting within the space of the venue...all of these are important components of this part.
Sponsors
Satisfying sponsors with a few photos of their products being part of the event is a must that not all of event organisers/photographers think of. Yet it's an important piece of a puzzle when documenting events. I like to focus on participants interacting with their goodie bags, carrying them or looking through its content. Not only does it give the event organisers a great content for future promotion, it shows the sponsors that their products/brand are being properly marketed and ensures future sponsor collabs for you as the organiser.
The Heart & Soul of the Event
Every little and big moment that unfolded...it's what makes your event truly YOURS. All the speakers, all the genuine exchanges, the quiet as well as dynamic moments. This is where I like to show you just how amazing your event can be when captured in a storytelling way.
